The vxedge mark, name, colours and type, with the files to download and the rules for using them.
The mark
Two legs and a brace: an open v cross-braced by an x. It is drawn as a single shape, so it holds up from a 16 px browser tab to a printed slide. Use the ink version on light grounds and the light version on graphite.

The name
vxedge is lowercase, one word, always, including at the start of a sentence. The same goes for the vx* repositories and tools (vxedged, vxparts). Identifiers, commands and numbers are set in monospace. The project is not abbreviated, and the mark does not replace the name in running text.
Colour
Each colour carries a meaning, so none is used for decoration.

Type
Headlines and the wordmark are set in Barlow Semi Condensed, 600 and 700, from the typeface's roots in road signs and licence plates (SIL Open Font License; the files are on this site under /fonts). Body text uses the system sans, and code and numbers use the system monospace.
Clear space and size
Keep a margin around the mark of at least half its width. Do not show it smaller than 16 px; at that size use the favicon (/favicon.svg), which is drawn for it.
Please don't
- recolour the mark beyond the ink and light versions;
- add gradients, shadows, outlines or glows;
- stretch, rotate or crop it, or set it on busy imagery;
- redraw the wordmark in another typeface.
Using the name and mark
Describing the project, linking to it, or showing the mark next to a link is welcome, in talks, papers, articles and slides. Implying that a product, result or organisation is endorsed by or affiliated with vxedge is not; for that, write to hello@vxedge.dev.
The mark, name and files on this page are provided to identify the project. Source code is Apache-2.0, and documentation, results and figures are CC BY 4.0, as the footer says.
